Technical requirements for refractory brick masonry construction
The use of refractory bricks in high-temperature industrial kilns not only requires good quality of refractory bricks, but also requires the masonry skills of construction personnel. The quality of masonry is closely related to the service life of the kiln lining.
Refractory brick masonry
Technical requirements for refractory brick masonry construction:
1. When laying refractory bricks, the selection of the starting point needs to be carried out sequentially from the low end to the high end of the industrial kiln or from the hot end to the low end. The cleaning and marking of the working point should be done to select suitable refractory bricks. Select refractory bricks of different materials according to different parts of industrial kilns, choose refractory bricks that meet the requirements of masonry technology, equip corresponding refractory mud according to the refractory bricks during masonry, leave expansion joints according to construction requirements, and the width of expansion joints should not have negative tolerances. There should be no debris left in the joints.
2. During the lining construction process, it is required that the joints of refractory bricks be kept within 2mm, and the mud inside the joints must be full.
3. The upper and lower layers of the lining masonry must be staggered and there must be no overlapping gaps.
4. During masonry, the brick joints should be straight, the masonry walls should be dense, and the surface gaps of refractory bricks should be pointed with original mortar. Any excess refractory mortar on the surface should be scraped off in a timely manner.
5. When masonry, use a wooden or rubber hammer to strike the masonry wall. It is strictly prohibited to use an iron hammer or other objects to strike refractory bricks.
6. During masonry, avoid misalignment, tilting of the lining, uneven mortar joints, double joints, and construction defects such as bulging and mixing of the masonry.
7. Layered and segmented masonry is strictly prohibited, and mud mixed masonry is strictly prohibited. When encountering holes, masonry should be carried out according to technical requirements.
8. When encountering anchors or metal parts during masonry, the refractory bricks used for masonry should seal the anchors or metal parts to prevent them from being exposed to the air and affecting the quality of masonry construction.
There are many technical requirements for the construction of refractory brick masonry, and attention should also be paid to the precautions for refractory brick masonry construction. Every step should be done well to ensure the quality of the industrial kiln lining.
